Three Chapter Sing Out

August 27, 2015 - 8:37pm -- Jim Mills

On August 18, 2015 The Royal City Ambassadors,, The Gentlemen of Harmony and The Twin City Harmonizers met at the bandshell in Royal City Park in Guelph for a singout. It turned out to be a lovely evening.  A good crowd gathered to see us and we all enjoyed the performances.  We headed to the afterglow at Fion McCools were we took over the stage and entertained the crowd. A number in attendance had been to the Ontario Quartet Event and got together and sang the songs they learned this summer.  A fun time was had by all!

The Old Ball Game

July 30, 2015 - 3:42pm -- Jim Mills

Members of the Twin City Harmonizers joined the Royal City Ambassadors at the make up game between the Kitchener Panthers and the Guelph Royals. We had a lot of fun singing. It's never to hard to find songs that everyone knows.  After O Canada, we headed to the stands to enjoy the game.  We managed to sneak in a couple more in between innings and led the crowd in a rousing rendition of Take Me Out To The Ball Game for the seventh inning stretch. The Panthers won 9 - 2 and we hope we get invited back next year.

We did a lot of singing, wood shedding, and tags.

All in all a great night.

Next year is booked for Tues June 7th.

We hope more golfers will join in the fun!

March 22, 2015 - 7:52pm -- Jim Mills

Kitchener, On, March 17, 2015:  Barbershoppers from the past and present joined together on Tuesday evening (St. Patrick's Day) in celebrating the 90th birthday of one of their own.   Lorne Brubacher says he began lying about his age in order to get in the army in the waning years of WWII.  But he allowed at the party that we was "coming out of the closet" and finally acknowledging his 90 years.
